Quantum & quantum-inspired optimization
QUBO/Ising formulations, annealing, quantum-inspired search and swarm optimization.
Research
QuGradient commercializes Quantum AI research developed through the QuMatrix ecosystem, translating advances in optimization, AI, quantum-inspired algorithms, quantum computing, HPC and hybrid methods into enterprise software. The publications, people and technical capabilities live at QuMatrix; this page is the bridge to them.
The science behind QuGradient
The methods inside DesignIQ, ResourceIQ, ScheduleIQ and RouteIQ come out of QuMatrix, a decade and a half of applied work across quantum computing, HPC, AI/ML and robotics, built with a research and engagement network of labs, institutions and enterprises.
Method areas
QUBO/Ising formulations, annealing, quantum-inspired search and swarm optimization.
Decomposition, classical + QPU workflows, and hybrid solvers that split problems across resources.
Variational quantum circuits, clustering, classification and hybrid AI methods.
GPU quantum simulation, distributed computing and performance optimization.
Graph optimization, routing and distributed-systems research.
Logistics, robotics, medical imaging, industrial inspection, portfolio optimization, behavioral economics, ambient intelligence / sports, and scientific research.
A note on representation
QuGradient maintains a hardware-independent optimization representation — QuGradient Internal Representation (QIR) —and can compile different problem structures into formulations appropriate to the selected solver and execution environment. QUBO/Ising is an important target for relevant quantum and quantum-inspired methods, but it is not the only one, and it is not QuGradient's universal architecture. Other targets include MILP, CP/CSP, graph formulations, decomposition methods, quantum circuits and specialized heuristics.
Explore the research
We don't duplicate the science here — QuMatrix keeps the full publication record and technical detail. Three ways in:
The overall body of work behind the platform with publications spanning quantum, HPC and applied optimization, on the QuMatrix site.
QuMatrix research →How the science maps to practice: quantum machine learning, AI robotics, post-quantum security and HPC simulation.
QuMatrix capabilities →The scientists behind the work and the QuMatrix organization that QuGradient spun out of.

The research is the foundation; the proof is a benchmark on your own data. Bring us the decision and we'll show you how it maps to the platform.
